Cover:
- Loss or damage to the plant and equipment
- While at work or idle, being dismantled or removed or re-erected, in the same premises, damage to electrical machinery due to fire originating within itself
- Due to faulty operation, adjustment, casting, vibration, entry of foreign objects, loosening of parts, self heating and short circuits
In the event of a partial loss, the Participant is covered for:
- The full cost of parts, plus;
- Labour charges, to and fro freight, customs duties and charges for dismantling and re-erection
- Excess/deductible
- Depreciation for items with a limited life
In the event of a total loss, the Participant is covered for:
- The actual value of the items immediately before the occurrence, less the appropriate depreciation
What is not covered under this contract:
- Fire and special perils
- War and related perils
- Nuclear perils
- Willful act or gross negligence
- Existing defects
- Normal wear and tear
- Consequential loss
- Manufacturer's warranty
